How to Set Up a Summer Shower on the Country Plot: 5 Ideas
On a hot summer day, you always want to freshen up, especially after working on the country plot. However, it's not always possible to install a full bathroom at home. In this case, an outdoor shower will come in handy, and everyone can build it by themselves.
It can be built in various ways, but the basic elements remain the same for any variant — a frame, enclosure, tank, and tray. However, the way these elements are assembled can vary greatly.
A summer shower can be built from wood, metal profiles, and various plastics. For cladding, you can use plastic siding, boards, or simply attach waterproof film to the supports.

When assembling, it's important to consider how many people will use the shower and how often. Based on that, calculate the tank size and the presence of a special drain. If possible, install a changing room near the shower to prevent clothes from getting wet.

Choose a location for the shower on an elevation for better drainage and in a sunny spot so that water in the tank heats up faster.

In case of infrequent use, a drainage layer under the tray will be sufficient. However, if several people take showers daily, a septic tank is required.
Plants that love moisture can be planted nearby to provide natural drainage.

Once the location for the shower is chosen, you can begin construction. We explain five simple variants.
This cabin is easy to assemble. For cladding, you can use siding, blockhouse, or faux log, and always leave a gap of 2–3 mm between boards. This is necessary so that when the wood gets wet, it can expand without problems.
Before painting, thoroughly prime the walls — for example, with biodegradable anti-fungal treatment. After it dries, paint the cabin with facade acrylic water-thin paint in three layers.

Shower from PolycarbonateWhen talking about polycarbonate, people often think of greenhouses. Most wonder: how to use such a shower, since it's transparent? But there is a special opaque material for shower cabins.
A summer shower made of polycarbonate on a metal frame is more durable than a wooden one. Also, polycarbonate is easy to use and doesn't require special care.
Polycarbonate is a durable material that requires no special maintenance.

Shower from Brick
This option requires more physical and material effort. However, such a shower will serve you for many years. It can also be equipped with heating: install a heating element in the metal tank with a power of at least 2 kW.

This material is lightweight, strong, and durable. It can be used for cladding a shower cabin made of wood or metal. However, since the material is quite soft, it needs to be reinforced with crossbeams for additional rigidity.
Simple DesignThe simplest design of a shower is installed next to a wall or shed. The floor is made of a wooden tray or a concrete platform covered with a rubber mat for convenience. For walls, you can use a plastic curtain or canvas fabric wrapped around a wooden frame.
