Another Idea for Furnishing a 30 Square Meter Apartment
This apartment is located in the student district of Gothenburg, near the university. For students, maximizing convenience within minimal space is key. This apartment is a perfect example of that approach. Take a look!
This 30 square meter studio with high ceilings (five meters!) includes a spacious living room, a separate room on the mezzanine level (thanks to the height of the ceilings), and even a terrace with a view of the dock. To zone the space throughout the apartment while maintaining a sense of openness, designers added niches made from gypsum board. These were also used as storage spaces to avoid cluttering the area with additional wardrobes.

The main color in the finish is white. Walls and floor in one shade erase boundaries. Additionally, designers deliberately stuck to a neutral color palette and avoided large prints that would emphasize the small area.

In the living room, furniture was chosen to match the wall color, making the space appear larger. However, to visually separate the sofa area and dining space, warm beige tones were used: wooden chairs around the dining table, a rug, and a wooden coffee table.

The kitchen is visually separated from the living room by partitions on both sides. To save space in the kitchen and free up work surfaces, all appliances were built into the cabinet unit. For example, a microwave is mounted on a bracket rather than placed on the countertop as usual.

The bedroom is located on the mezzanine level. Thanks to a wall niche, there's enough space not only for a large bed and a workspace corner but even a wardrobe.

In the bathroom, just like in the rest of the apartment, everything is thought out. For example, to add extra storage space without overloading the area with boxes, designers installed a shelf above the washing machine.

The hallway has space for a coat rack and a walk-in closet. The sliding door wardrobe is not a random choice, as it saves space compared to traditional doors.

The highlight of the apartment is a terrace with a view of the dock. First, it extends and enlarges the living room; second, it fills the entire apartment with daylight, which is crucial in small spaces.
