How to Fix a Tight Layout and Add Colors and Moods

Green shades are gradually becoming as classic as beige, white, and gray. In this interior, designers at Vered Bonfiglioli Studio focused on a cool gray-green tone. According to the RAL color standards, this shade can be classified as 7009, Feldgrau.

It is deep and ambiguous: depending on the lighting, its perception can change from blue to gray. It also pairs beautifully with a trendy pale pink shade. Designers chose to play on the contrast between cool and warm, harsh and gentle tones.

The apartment is 73 square meters in the Israeli city of Givatayim, so there was room for a spacious living room that smoothly flows into the kitchen. The central spot here is taken by a sofa covered in soft pink velvet. The color palette was completed with a white Kartell chair and a gray velvet ottoman.

Functional zones were also not forgotten. Against the free wall, a desk was placed, and a TV was positioned on a column that remained between the living room and the kitchen after the reconfiguration.

At the entrance, instead of a traditional ceiling hook, a black metal stand was hung. A glass cabinet was placed nearby where the apartment owners store their magazine collection.

In the corridor, storage cabinets were arranged: one for books and another for household items, where the washing machine and dryer are hidden.

To soften the cool tones and strict forms, designers added more living plants, textiles, and even macrame to the interior. A panoramic window was created in the kitchen, forming a cozy relaxation area with many plants and a small bed.

For the bedroom, they chose a contrasting warm terracotta tone, which was also used in the bathroom.

The combination of cool gray-green and soft terracotta benefited both tones. Designers managed to create a balance between opposites in the interior and remain true to the clients' wishes. The result is not a polished catalog-style interior, but a stylish apartment where it's comfortable and cozy to live.
