Installation of Falz Roofing

This page is also available in the following languages:🇷🇺🇺🇦🇫🇷🇩🇪🇪🇸🇵🇱🇨🇳

As with many aspects of construction, installing falz roofing must begin with a well-prepared project and cost estimate for roofing work. Modern roofing is a complex multi-layered structure that imposes strict requirements on the quality of installation. Every element of this system—from simple vapor barrier film to high-end finishing roof coverings—must be installed precisely according to the project and manufacturer's technology.

Adhering to the above requirements ensures compliance with manufacturers' warranty obligations and reduces the risk of leaks and loss of waterproof integrity in the roofing system.

Preparation of the Base for Falz Roofing Installation

The base on which falz roofing will be installed must meet the following conditions:

  • Roof slopes must have a flat, even surface with consistent pitch and level.
  • Timber used in the roof truss system must be thoroughly dried to prevent wood shrinkage after roof covering installation.
  • Counter-battens must be installed.
  • On the interior side, vapor barrier must be installed with a minimum overlap of 15 cm between sheets.
  • Jointing with roof elements such as ridge caps, wind boards, and chimneys must be done with special care and reliability.

All cutting and fitting operations for roofing components must be performed on a stationary workbench or other ground-based equipment. Cutting materials directly on the roof during installation is not permitted.

Installation of Falz Roofing

The installation technology of falz roofing allows for a continuous length of roof slope made from a single element—a strip of galvanized steel. This results in only longitudinal joints (folds) along the slope, with no transverse joints, significantly enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the roof.

Falz roofing uses a locking system between adjacent roof elements that eliminates the need for drilling through the roof. This greatly improves roof tightness, as in other metal roofing systems, property owners often have to seal numerous through-holes with silicone and other sealing compounds.

Galvanized steel components of falz roofing are called 'panels'. Panels for each specific roof section are manufactured directly on-site using specialized bending equipment. The same process is used to produce accessories and supplementary elements: flashing, ridge caps, gutters, and more.

Finished panels are attached to the roof sheathing using special clamps—this is the key to the absence of through-holes in falz roofing. All vertical penetrations through the roof, such as pipe exits and structural penetrations, must be sealed with special flashing made from the same material to prevent leaks.
