Autumn IKEA Collection: What to Buy?

IKEA has announced two new collections — SIEVISTANDIG and IMPULSE. A lot of textiles, décor, and light that will be useful in every home this autumn. We tell you the details and plan a weekend trip to IKEA.

The SIEVISTANDIG Collection

Often we use IKEA products in our own way — repainting them in different colors, combining models from various collections. Creative experiments by customers inspired designers to create a new limited collection. It will go on sale in October.

For example, designer Hanna-Kaarina Heikkinen proposed creating a vase that retains the impressions of its creators — factory employees. As creative director of IKEA Maria O'Brien said, "Things are made by people, not machines."

Another new item is vibrant carpets with geometric patterns. They can be assembled like puzzles thanks to hook-and-loop fasteners. Carpet pieces are easy to combine and create new shapes.

The collection will also include many interesting items: dishes, textiles, and chairs. By the way, these last can be used both at home and outdoors.
