What's happening in Milan? As part of the annual Salone del Mobile.Milano (also known as iSaloni or the Milan Furniture Fair), leading furniture and interior design manufacturers gather to present the latest innovations to the world. It is this Milan Furniture Fair that sets the trends for interior design in the upcoming year. The venue is the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center in Milan, Italy.

Alongside the furniture exhibition, Salone del Complemento d′Arredo (fabrics and accessories) is also held. This year, Eurocucina (kitchens) and Salone Internazionale del Bagno (bathroom equipment) were included, which are held every even year. In the next odd year, one can expect to see innovations in lighting, accessories, and hardware for furniture manufacturing and office equipment.

What to Expect from the Event?
Like the Milan Salon, the Moscow exhibition will take place under the slogan 'Enjoy the Design!' — a variation of the traditional Italian Bon Appétit! The organizers of Salone del Mobile Milano.Moscow are the ICHE Agency and the Italian Embassy.

Over 250 leading companies in furniture, lighting, kitchens, bathroom equipment, textiles, and decorative items will be present at the exhibition this year. All of these were showcased in Milan in April.

For first-time visitors, it's sure to be interesting to see interior collections from leading fashion brands such as Fendi Casa, Roberto Cavalli home, Missoni Home, as well as stands from well-known names like Kartell, Longhi, Cattelan Italia or Jumbo Collection. Each exhibit reflects the spirit of the respective company.

What You Need to Know About SaloneSatellite Moscow 2018
Only young designers and architects from Russia, Baltic countries, and the CIS under 35 years of age can participate in the contest.

Industrial manufacturers or individual craftspeople are not allowed to participate.

Young designers will showcase new prototypes of products for home and office
Furniture, household items, and lighting fixtures.

The SaloneSatellite Moscow jury has an international composition

Last year, the judges included the founder of Salone Satellite, Marva Griffin, the director of Salone Del Mobile Milano, Andrea Viani, architect Livio Ballabio (Jumbo Collection), designer Cristina Celentano, and others.

What Can’t Be Missed?
Traditionally, the event program includes masterclasses. Design critic and design historian Olga Kosyrev will speak with 'star' designers. This year, Ferruccio Laviani, Fabio Novembre, and Mario Bellini were invited.

WEDNESDAY, October 10. Ferruccio Laviani (Ferruccio Laviani), a member of the legendary Memphis group, will share his experience in product design and architecture during the masterclass 'My Point of View'

THURSDAY, October 11. The topic of the masterclass with expressive Italian designer Fabio Novembre (Fabio Novembre) is 'My Journey'

FRIDAY, October 12. Architect and industrial designer Mario Bellini (Mario Bellini) will speak to exhibition guests on the topic 'Design as a Cultural Act'
