What to Do If You Have Round Walls in Your Apartment: Example from Sweden
When straight walls and right angles are on the plan — one-two and you're done, decorating an apartment becomes a puzzle. How to arrange soft furniture? Where to place wardrobes and storage systems? How to live in a space where everything is round and angular?

Interior designers Hanna Heiman and Anna Backlund, who worked on the interior of this 65-square-meter two-bedroom apartment in Gothenburg, are convinced: white color perfectly masks the peculiarities of an inconvenient layout. And indeed: white 'dissolved' the rounded, sharp, and blunt angles of the room, kitchen, and hallway.

You can get to the balcony through the living room with an elegant arched window. The brick cladding of the balcony is visible right from the room, so designers maintained the trendy terracotta tone with decorative cushions in similar shades.
The wooden shelf at the entrance was adapted to the geometry of the wall: custom furniture is a great help in non-standard apartments.

The bedroom is one of the most problematic areas in an apartment. The wardrobe for clothes was placed without much difficulty, but there were no rectangular walls for a spacious bed. However, the designers didn't panic and placed it diagonally from the window, with a mini-boudoir next to it. There's no better place for it: here is concentrated a lot of natural light from two windows.

As for the chandeliers in the living room and dining area, they were chosen asymmetric and extravagant, like a small reminder that despite all its drawbacks, non-standard layout is unique and interesting.
