See How Kitchen Appliances Have Changed

One of the tasks of household appliances is to help each of us find more time for ourselves and our families. At the EuroCucina 2018 exhibition, you could personally see how modern solutions help families save time in the kitchen: from cooking dishes to easy cleaning of appliances. Below, we will talk more about each of them using examples of Whirlpool, Hotpoint, and Indesit appliances.

Now you can control appliances from your smartphone

All Whirlpool kitchen appliances from the W Collection line have the function of remote control via the 6th SENSE Live app. Hotpoint new products can be remotely controlled using the Hotpoint Home Net app.

What does this provide? Primarily peace of mind and more comfort! For example, if you forget to close the refrigerator door, the appliance will definitely send you a notification about it on your smartphone. The washing machine will notify you when the wash cycle is complete, and the oven will let you know when your dinner is ready.

And also with voice commands

For example, Whirlpool W Collection ovens can be controlled by voice through the Google Assistant app.

How does it work? With one voice command, you can change the settings of the oven: start a cooking program, "ask" how much time is left until the dish is ready, or turn off the appliance. This function is especially useful when your hands are busy while cooking food or when you are in another part of the house.

Household appliances interact with each other

What does this mean? For example, the exhaust hood from the W Collection by Whirlpool can recognize the operation mode of the cooktop and automatically adjust the current air cleaning settings or send you a status update about the device's operation. This feature is available in both premium and mid-range appliances.

Appliances share interesting recipes

For example, Indesit's oven is equipped with the Turn & Cook feature: you can choose one of 80 recipes and cook a dish with just one button press. Moreover, it will suggest what delicious and healthy dishes you can make from the ingredients you have at home.

How does it work? The app is already available for download in both AppleStore and GooglePlay. After installing it, simply point your smartphone camera at the ingredient, Turn & Cook will automatically recognize it and show a selection of recipes. You just need to find what you like.

And also hints on how to cook these recipes

Hotpoint induction cooktops, microwave ovens, and ovens have the My Menu function — an electronic "assistant" that helps you select one of 63 recipes and provides step-by-step instructions for their preparation.

The tips and advice are displayed on a convenient touch screen. Additionally, cooktops can recognize dishes and their temperature, and the stove automatically adjusts power settings.

And also creates a shopping list for you

This is again about Whirlpool appliances. The oven and cooktop from the W Collection line come with a special menu creation function.

How to use it? Simply indicate your food preferences and choose suitable recipes from the provided list. The app then automatically creates a shopping list and displays step-by-step instructions for preparing the dish. Very convenient!

Kitchen appliances become more compact and spacious

At the EuroCucina 2018 exhibition, the Hotpoint brand introduced an embedded refrigerator with a width of just 70 cm, which still has a capacity of 400 liters: another find for owners of small kitchens!

Its performance is also increasing

The new Hotpoint dishwasher has a width of just 45 centimeters. Despite this, the appliance is equipped with advanced 3D ZoneWash technology and is just as effective as larger full-size models.

Also, new embedded microwave ovens from Whirlpool (W Collection) help cook dishes for daily meals and festive dinners. They do this twice as fast as regular ovens.

How is this possible? The models have an ultra-intuitive MySmartDisplay interface and support remote control — these features allow cooking to reach a new level.

Kitchen appliances handle routine tasks

For example, each embedded Indesit Aria oven is equipped with the Click & Clean technology that makes cleaning the device easy: the internal glass of the appliance can be removed and washed in a dishwasher or under running water. The special enamel coating on the inner surface of the oven can be cleaned without chemical agents: cleaning the oven becomes fast, effective, and eco-friendly.

Here, we should also mention the new vertical and T-shaped exhaust hoods from the Hotpoint brand. According to manufacturers, they automatically detect the level of air pollution and unpleasant odors in the kitchen and adjust the operating power.

Another interesting innovation from Indesit is a narrow dishwasher with the Push & Go technology: a special wash cycle thoroughly cleans food residue without pre-soaking dishes and does it faster than the standard 85-minute cycle. In short, the more modern and better your appliances are, the less you worry about cleaning, and the more time you spend on it.
