Design of a Tiny Apartment in Sweden That You Will Definitely Love
The area of this three-room apartment in Sweden is 70 square meters. Not much for a family of four, yet designers managed to fit a bedroom, children's room, wardrobe, and a spacious kitchen-dining room with a dining area into the space. The highlight of the interior is the deep gray-blue color of the walls, abundance of textures, and many decorative details—subtle but adding a special charm to the apartment's atmosphere.
Beneath its apparent simplicity lies a wealth of thoughtfully planned solutions that can be observed and applied in your own interior design.
Blinds on part of the windowPay attention: in this apartment, they decided to do without curtains to fully utilize natural light. The blinds are placed only on the lower part of the windows, which allows for privacy when needed—while not completely blocking natural light.
Bookshelves in wall colorIn the living room, 4 rows of bookshelves were placed above the sofa. They exactly match the wall color and visually blend with it. This significantly reduces visual clutter and eases the eye throughout the zone.

Metal accents on the kitchenFor the kitchen cabinet, matte white doors were chosen, yet they do not look dull. The secret lies in the unusual handles, which also serve as stylish metal accents. On one hand, this small detail adds a bit of bohemian flair to the setting. On the other, it functions as functional décor that requires no additional space or expenses.

Stylish alternative to bedside tablesTo save space in the small bedroom, classic bedside tables were replaced with more compact wall-mounted shelves. These allowed for placing lamps and provided enough space at the headboard for small items.

Compact bed in children's roomMulti-level beds are not rare in modern children's rooms. However, for this apartment, a model with additional space under the lower sleeping area was chosen. This allowed storing toy boxes and containers under the bed.
Desk-table in children's roomAnother functional solution to observe in this small children’s room is a desk-table.
WardrobeMore and more owners of small apartments are adopting Western approaches—creating wardrobes. Contrary to common fears, this solution saves space greatly, allowing them to do without numerous bulky wardrobes and dressers, as well as hiding household supplies.
