6 Rules of Perfect Interior
We explain the rules for creating a beautiful, functional and welcoming interior. Professionals have been following them for a long time, and it's not that hard to stick to them.
If you dream of a comfortable and stylish home, use our six rules as a guide.
Style Corresponds to Time and Place
Designers call this matching the interior to the exterior. In other words, don't create a retro interior in a new building. Or try to fit a palace-style decor into an apartment with two-and-a-half-meter ceilings. But one or two antiques or vintage items can easily fit into a modern interior and add charm and depth.

There should be several lighting scenarios in the interior: for different times of day and various situations. A chandelier in the center of the ceiling will visually expand the space, provide general lighting and add a sense of solemnity. If you want to add warmth and coziness, use floor lamps and table lamps. Don't forget to let in as much natural daylight as possible.

This means you have space to entertain guests, somewhere to relax or sit with your laptop if you work from home. Even a small apartment can be divided into functional zones, decorated in line with the purpose they will serve.

Any cluttered interior ruins the look, so designers recommend planning as many storage spaces as possible, even if you think your wardrobe is small and you dispose of old items every time you buy something new.
Design: PHDAt Least One Designer Item
Design, like architecture, is utility, durability, and beauty, so a piece created by a designer always draws attention. If you have such an item, make sure it's visible.
Design: GeometriumNo Excess or Random Items
It's great when decor is more than just beautiful items—it reflects the hobbies of the people living in the apartment. A collection of books, vinyl records, musical instruments, photos and movie/poster prints—everything can become a decoration for the apartment. A perfect interior is a portrait of its owner. Even if that owner is not perfect.
