A two-room apartment in a five-story building, indeed made of brick and located in a decent area, and a male client with whom Kатya Alagich and Ilya Guliants from El Born Studio immediately found understanding and a shared vision of the future interior.Katya and Ilya had to make the apartment brighter, add air, plus figure out how to arrange the frequent overnight guests so everyone would be comfortable.

4. Glamour, Shine, Beauty!

Originally, this apartment had a typical Khrushchyovka layout with three isolated rooms and dark narrow corridors. The homeowners — a family with a child — dreamed of convenient and modern housing. After receiving carte blanche from the clients, designer Olga Kulikovskaya-Eshbi completely restructured the space and found many hidden opportunities.

Architect Maxim Tikhonov managed to create a beautiful studio with a Scandinavian character from a run-down Khrushchyovka in Kuncevo. In the studio, peaceably coexist an IKEA sofa-bed, plastic chairs from the 1970s, a Romanian work table from the 60s, and an antique mirror from the beginning of the century from a flea market...
