How to Create a Modern Interior in an Old House: Real Example
Thanks to renovation and removal of non-load-bearing walls, the married couple managed to create a cozy and very functional apartment in a house built at the end of the 19th century
To revitalize the interior of an apartment in a pre-revolutionary building, Anelia Dlugi and her husband applied all their knowledge in the field of architecture and interior design. By reinforcing almost all structures and removing unnecessary walls, they succeeded in creating a cozy studio suitable for living. A bright accent of this interior is the original brick from the end of the 19th century, which the couple decided to keep in its natural state. As a complement to it, they bought a handwoven rug made by members of the Navajo tribe. The details of the project were told to us by the couple themselves.
