Excellent Ideas That Will Inspire You to Create a Twin Room with a Cribs
The arrival of a child means many changes in the lives of its parents, including organizing and decorating the home. Ultimately, you need to prepare a space for the child—whether it's their own room or a twin room with cribs.
Dividing this space between parents and the child may be due to a lack of an additional room or a decision to keep the baby with you in the first few months of life.
But when this happens, questions arise: where to place the crib in the room? How to divide the space without hindering movement around the room? How to organize parents' and child's belongings?
In this article, we've gathered several tips to help you divide and decorate a twin room with cribs.
Where is the best place to put a crib in a twin room?
PinterestRegardless of whether the crib is in a bedroom or a special children's room, one recommendation stands: never place it near a window. Direct sunlight (especially during the hottest hours) is not beneficial for newborns. Moreover, there's a risk of injury.
On the other hand, placing the crib near the bedroom door is a good solution. Because being next to an adjacent room, you can check on the crib and make sure the baby is fine without entering the room. At the same time, proximity to the door also ensures good air circulation and lighting in the room.
However, avoid placing the crib in the center of the room! Always prefer having one side pressed against at least one wall so you can move freely around the room without needing long detours or bumping into anything.
Considering this, a corner of the room that is farther from the window and facing the door is undoubtedly the best place to put a baby's crib.
How to divide and organize space between the child’s room and the couple's room? Regardless of whether you have a large or small area, there is no escape: changes are needed. It's important to keep only essential furniture in the room to free up space for a crib and a changing table/dresser, creating a comfortable atmosphere for everyone.
However, another important point is to divide the space between parents' furniture and the child's belongings. That means don't store your clothes and diapers in the same dresser or wardrobe as yours, because that will only make things messier.
Add a dresser on the side of the crib to concentrate the child's things—and use the surface as a changing table! And don't put the crib on one side and the dresser on the other, right? Placing all of the child's belongings in one place provides greater practicality in daily life and better space organization. Thus, everyone has their own spot in a twin room with cribs.
