Design of a living room combined with a bedroom implies not only nominal division of the space, but also visual. Although, of course, some people may even find such a reduction in space excessive. Especially if the room size is already small.

There are many options for dividing a room into zones. You can choose either a design with a partition, or with a curtain or bookshelf. Each option has its own advantages.

A curtain and a thin partition take up almost no space and provide decent isolation, unlike a through bookshelf (though you can also install a closed shelf). A bookshelf is more functional. As they say, tastes vary.

Interior design of a living room-bedroom should be chosen according to your preferences and technical possibilities. But even if the room has a large area, there is still a way out in this case.

A good option would be transformer furniture, pull-out furniture, and using the room space in all directions (not only in width but also in height).

Let's explain it practically. For example, a bed can be placed on a platform and pulled out when needed. The remaining space will be occupied by a regular living room: sofa, TV, shelves, coffee table.

A dining table can be placed on the platform or a workspace can be set up. Alternatively, you can order a bed where the lower part consists of pull-out drawers and the back wall contains a shelf.

If you want to visually separate the bedroom but do not wish to use partitions, there are other methods at your disposal: you can visually separate the bedroom area by color or ceiling design, canopy or platform.

A convenient way to save space is not to place a TV on a console but to mount it on the wall. However, if the sofa and bed are located in different parts of the room and you enjoy watching TV, make sure the screen is visible from both zones.

A good helper here would be a mounting bracket that allows you to rotate the TV in the desired direction when needed.

Lighting in the Living Room-Bedroom Interior

Let's move on to lighting in the living room-bedroom interior. If your living room is divided into two parts, it doesn't make much sense to have one lighting zone. Therefore, instead of one chandelier, it's better to hang separate wall lights in each zone.

Recessed ceiling lights also help with zoning. In this way, you can also turn on each zone separately. However, wall sconces can still remain.
