Topway Space Design transformed the new Kabel China Headquarters in Foshan, China into a poetic space where color, art and technology intertwine. Completed in 2023, the 1000 m² exhibition area serves as both a corporate headquarters and a color art gallery, offering visitors a sensory journey into the world of Kabel's artistic pigments.

Inspired by the Artist's Brush

The concept begins with the movement of a paintbrush. Curved walls penetrate the space like free brushstrokes or dancer movements, awakening the idea of creativity in motion. Each curve represents an artistic moment, embodying the spirit of imagination and innovation at Kabel.

In the meeting hall, round acrylic lights suspended above resemble colored stars. Their light falls on the walls and floor, transforming the room into a dreamlike cosmic landscape. This installation introduces visitors to a world where color is the main character.

Light as Poetry

Light plays a leading role in the spatial narrative:

  • Acrilic lights are distributed rhythmically, creating star compositions.

  • Shadows and reflections interact with curved surfaces, creating a cinematic atmosphere.

  • Light and color together form a rainbow bridge between visitors and exhibits, guiding exploration.

The poetic use of light turns the exhibition area into a stage where architecture, art and pigments are performed together.

Exploring the Infinite Palette

Beyond physical exhibitions, Kabel's exhibition area embraces digital tools and virtual reality. Visitors can:

  • Turn delicate shades into unique digital artworks.

  • Immerse themselves in a virtual world of colors, experiencing pigments beyond their physical form.

This innovation underscores the company's forward-looking identity, combining traditional artistic materials with digital cutting-edge technologies.

Music, Movement and Color

In the center of the material selection zone stands a large piano, symbolizing harmony between music and color. Its black-and-white keys resonate with the painted surfaces around, creating a multisensory dialogue.

In the meantime, curved walls intersect like dancers on stage. Their smooth and streamlined forms recall falling stars or flowing rivers, harmonizing with Kabel’s colors: microcement, microcrystalline cement, Milan silk velvet and Breya. Each material adds a unique atmosphere:

  • Microcement – simple and natural.

  • Microcrystalline cement – modern and technological.

  • Milan silk velvet – luxurious and elegant.

  • Breya – dreamy and ethereal.

Nature, Rest and Reflection

The exhibition area is also designed as a retreat in the city. The relaxation zone with comfortable furniture and plants offers moments of calm and relaxation. The design hints at a mountain valley, with sloping shadows and natural scents that evoke tranquility.

The DIY experimentation zone, shaped like a Flower Tree, invites visitors to mix and explore pigments. Transparent glass test tubes filled with colorful solutions hang as ornaments, symbolizing Kabel's inspiration from nature.

In the water bar area, the installation “inverted forest of light” filters daylight through glass brick walls, combining black, white and green in a poetic interplay of shadows. This space encourages meditation and self-reflection, embodying Kabel's vision of art as a dialogue between body, mind and nature.

Why This Project Matters

The Kabel China Headquarters is more than an exhibition space—it’s a multisensory journey into the world of color. By combining artistic form, technological innovation and natural inspiration, Topway Space Design created a space that is simultaneously immersive, symbolic and functional.

It shows how a brand's headquarters can transcend corporate identity, becoming a cultural experience where architecture speaks not only about what the brand sells but also about what it represents: creativity, imagination and innovation.
