Hotel Huaxi HA UP | Bloomage WWD | Chongqing, China
Flow of dialogue between design and emotion
Inspired by the molecular durability of hyaluronic acid (HA) — a substance capable of retaining 1000 times its weight in water, Hotel Huaxi HA UP by Bloomage WWD transforms the concepts of moisture, flow and rejuvenation into an immersive spatial experience.
Situated in Huaxipin, Chongqing, this modern hotel is crafted as a reflection of care and intimacy, embodying the brand's philosophy:
"A good hotel is like a reflection of love — it always pays attention to you and cares for you wholeheartedly."
Through a poetic approach to materials, light and form, the design transforms hydration science into a multisensory architectural narrative.
Reflection of light and color
Upon entering the hotel, guests encounter a well-lit and compact lobby area, which smoothly connects the reception, bar and restaurant. Rhythmic black mirrored ceiling enhances reflections and depth, while the terrace flooring, rich in contrasting textures, gently evokes Chongqing's layered urban history.
The check-in area embodies fluidity. Curved forms reflect the flow of HA molecules, creating a cozy atmosphere that encourages connection and relaxation.
The bar features vivid red metallic panels, glass bricks and colored bottles, setting a bold yet elegant tone. The contrast between cold industrial materials and vibrant interior lighting evokes a sense of vitality and intimacy.
The simplified art corridor, resembling a floating ribbon, extends from the lobby to guest areas. Acting as both a pathway and an artistic piece, it embodies motion, continuity and elegance. Along the way, a large photographic panel featuring Dashi forms brings natural colors inside — rich reds, ochres and purples — reflecting the geological poetry of China's landscapes.
Spatial sequence and visual harmony
As guests venture deeper into the layout, guest corridors unfold as a series of measured transitions leading from public energy to private tranquility.
Each room greets guests with a gentle choreographed light — a lit headboard softly illuminates upon door opening, creating a feeling of personal welcome. The palette of black and red, warmed by amber lighting, creates an atmosphere of refined rest. Handwritten floral motifs and bright red accents add a human touch to the minimalist composition.
In suites, mirrored windows in living areas and bathrooms expand spatial depth, while bathrooms positioned next to panoramic windows transform daily rituals into uplifting experiences — bathing literally "in the clouds".
Brand identity through materials and memories
The restaurant and public spaces continue the thematic link between hydration, light and life. Aqua-blue artwork inspired by hyaluronic acid serves as a central element in the dining area, while red and grey seating contrasts with terrace tables, forming a dynamic visual structure.
Throughout the hotel, Bloomage WWD skillfully weaves brand history with spatial storytelling. Soft textiles, signage and visual identity (VI) share a common tone of calm precision and smooth imagination, conveying the concept "making every life vibrant".
Innovative materials such as Carlo Board add a soft, moist sheen reminiscent of HA texture, while the logo derived from 'Bobo' features a concave engraving, leaving a tactile memory and reinforcing the hotel’s sensory identity.
An urban sanctuary for art, innovation and connection
Hotel Huaxi HA UP transcends traditional hospitality typology. It is an urban trend hub, combining lifestyle, art and wellness into a unified brand experience. Between reality and reflection, the hotel offers guests an atmosphere of renewal — where design becomes an act of care, and every surface gleams with life.
