Chelsea Apartments in New York are the result of collaboration between Alexander Gorlin Architects and Larsen Design. The 250 square meter residence was previously a artist's loft and is now owned by Jeffrey Larsen, a former banker turned designer. The interior is very erotic and infused with elements of voyeurism.
Materials characteristic of the industrial style dominate the interior—wooden floors, exposed utilities, and columns. In the living room, a notable feature is a swing with bronze chains and leather seat that irresistibly entices by its sexuality and view of the street, capturing social media attention during parties. Behind the living room are the dining area, kitchen, and main bedroom. The private zone reaches its climax in an unconventional private bathroom. A large mirrored door can be opened and rotated to reflect the bathroom directly into the living room.
