Pianist Apartment in Moscow
This apartment belongs to a young, but already quite famous pianist who spends most of his time touring the world or living in New York. In his Moscow residence, which is 120 square meters in size, the majority of the time are spent by his parents. The interior of the apartment was designed by architect Alexander Fedorov. A small, bright hallway divides the apartment into two parts — a common area and a private one. The common area includes a kitchen, a living room with a grand piano, and a guest bathroom. The second part contains two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room. The apartment's interior is permeated with a musical theme; it's no surprise that soft yet contrasting choices were made. In the hallway, there is a decor of black-and-white photographs of world concert halls where the homeowner performed. The parents' bedroom is done in more restrained white-brown and burgundy tones. The son's room has a more vibrant finish with youthful geometric ornamentation in the style of black-and-white Piet Mondrian. The wall with a TV serves as both storage and a workspace.
