House with area of 769 sq. meters in Mexico
Architecture bureau CDM implemented the project of a stunning residence Casa TM in the city of Colima, Mexico. The area of this luxurious villa is 769 square meters and it was designed for permanent residence of a family of four people. The clients wanted their house to be associated with endless relaxation in a tropical paradise somewhere on the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
As a result, taking into account all the above-mentioned aspects, architects chose an architectural style that refers to Mexican traditions, where the boundaries between interior and exterior are blurred, facilitating natural airflow throughout the house. The circular inner courtyard channels these air currents from spaces integrated with the terrace into sleeping zones. The house foundation is elevated above ground level, protecting from recurring floods and allowing creation of sloped gardens that function as thermal buffer zones.
