With Respect for the Past: Plaza 18 Hotel Interior in Spain
The Plaza 18 hotel in the village of Vehere-de-la-Frontera in Andalusia has only six rooms, yet the interior is executed with such elegance and attention to detail. The building, constructed at the end of the 19th century, was erected on foundations of 13th-century structures, and this history formed the basis of the design. During the renovation, every material and piece of furniture was chosen with particular care — it was important not just to recreate old interiors, but to make maximum use of original items from those times. Upon entering the hotel, guests are immediately immersed in a luxurious black-and-white hallway. These colors are then repeated only in details, as the rooms themselves turned out to be distinctive: with color accents and patterns. But perhaps the most treasured feature of this place are the landscapes, which certainly have not changed for many centuries!
