The owner of this house, Marlin Rentmister, is originally from New York, and she agreed to move to Los Angeles only to a cottage near the beach. She fell in love with this house built in the 1950s, but the problem was that it didn't look like a beach house at all inside. The interior was outdated, and the rooms were small and gloomy. The designer completely transformed it, knocked down unnecessary walls and focused on a white color scheme. The rooms were filled with wooden and vintage furniture and vibrant paintings. The living room was decorated with a table for table tennis, and the main attraction became the veranda and the pool. Now Marlin enjoys her California lifestyle in her favorite house, and her son even learned to surf!
