This mountain house in the valley of Val-d'Aran in the Pyrenees is one of the oldest in the area, which is why it has very small windows and only a little light enters inside. The owners took this into account during the recent renovation, and brightened the wooden surfaces inside with staining. It is now very hard to believe that just a few years ago, this place had a gloomy and unattractive interior. How cozy the fireplace area has become!
