The Haus B project was developed by the Yonder studio for a family of renowned architects. The 612 square meter house is located on a hillside, offering a spectacular view of Stuttgart, Germany.
For this purpose, parts of the building's roof and first floor were partially removed and reconstructed in wood. The new structure is spacious and airy, providing a generous terrace on the roof.
Large panoramic windows on the newly built levels offer unobstructed views of Stuttgart. The open and flexible space is accentuated by unique built-in furniture made from walnut and oak, and carefully placed windows. The first and upper floors are connected by an open staircase enclosed with wooden railings.
The main feature of the building is its striving to qualify as an Active House or a house with a positive energy balance, allowing it to supply excess energy to the larger energy system in the future. Groundwater is used for heating and cooling the ceilings and floors. The roof is clad with photovoltaic panels. An electric vehicle charging station offers opportunities for using electric transport.
