Rural House Extension in Italy
An old rural house in Treviso, Italy, was given a new life through a renovation carried out by the architects of studio zaa.
Thanks to its wide glazing, the new construction is in harmonious dialogue with the local landscape. From the outside, glass surfaces reflect the surrounding nature, becoming part of it. Inside, the windows are almost invisible, creating the impression that you are outdoors: the living room becomes a unified whole with the landscape.
The frames are made of raw high-oxidized metal, which perfectly harmonizes with the rural character of the area. Special attention was paid to energy savings and acoustic comfort, achieved through the use of frames with high thermal insulation and improved quality glass.
