Valley House Residence by David Guerra Studio in Brazil

A spacious Valley House residence was developed by David Guerra Studio in the small Brazilian city of Nova Lima.

The landscape dissolving at the horizon line, the garden around the building and the winter garden in the interior create harmony between the residence and the surrounding landscape, open for contemplation in any direction.

Upon entering the spacious hall, one can see the winter garden, kitchen, verandas, living room and staircase to the second floor. The living and dining rooms are connected with the verandas, garden, kitchen and home cinema, with the latter two areas being able to function independently. The kitchen, as the heart of the house, is open on all sides, allowing access to the dining room, living room, terrace or pool area. The living room connects with the outdoor kitchen, bathroom, game room, terrace with a pool, spa zone, sauna and winter garden. On entering the building on the left side are the bathroom with mosaic tiles in blue, specially designed by the designer, the winter garden and office.

On the second level are bedrooms with private terraces and panoramic views. The main bedroom also has its own large walk-in closet, and even the bathroom features a small garden.

The modern house is built on a foundation of deep sensory memories, expressed through the use of stone, wood, brick, raw cement and tiles, as well as color and landscape design.

From a decor perspective, the choice of materials was driven by the desire to make the house a sanctuary from idleness, a place for awakening. Furniture designed by Brazilian and international designers, Tibetan carpets, linen curtains, paintings by local artists, items brought back from travels, and a blend of natural materials such as linen, leather and wood bring richness to the interior, while also helping to understand Brazilian identity.
