The Greywall House by YCL Studio in Vilnius is hidden behind a solid concrete fence. This wall, continuing the theme of gray throughout the apartment, becomes part of the interior and a boundary between the common space and nature.
Small sculptural details are gently integrated into the interior. The mirror in the hallway greets visitors with a distorted perspective that softens the lines in the overall design. The railing, like a beam of light, almost imperceptibly touches the floor on the first floor. The mirrored column in the living room conceals a bulky technical structure, yet preserves the essence of the space through reflection. Intersecting lines in the main bathroom create an illusion of more space than actually exists. All small details form an internal ensemble, while the architecture itself creates harmony in its external appearance.
Large windows, like grand paintings, illuminate the monochrome tones of the apartment, gradually revealing its individuality and vibrant character each day.
