Apartment of 70 Square Meters in the Center of Tel Aviv
An apartment of 70 square meters from YOOLOPP studio in Tel Aviv, Israel, was purchased for the accommodation of a young single woman. The layout was outdated, closed, and segmented, not meeting the client's requirements who preferred a larger kitchen, spacious bathroom with a full bathtub, bedroom, office, and a central common area.
A part of the balcony was returned to open air to plant plants there and thus create a barrier from neighbors and a view of green nature.
The new private space, including the bedroom and workspace, now has one shared window. The area is divided by a vertical shelving unit that allows air and light to circulate from the workspace to the sleeping area without compromising both functions in one large open zone.
To avoid an overly long process and reduce the cost of work, the bathroom was left in its original location. The toilet, shower, and utility room were transformed into a large open bathroom. By removing partitions, it became more airy and light. Blinds that are now part of the bathroom were painted in a pistachio green shade, enhancing the fresh new feeling.
The kitchen retained its original infrastructure. The old area was transformed using an open kitchen zone into a living room, where one can cook and socialize simultaneously. The new interior features a large U-shaped island accessible from three sides. The blinds were also repainted, adding a fresh green element to the palette.
As a result, a bright and comfortable apartment was created that perfectly suits the desires of the new owner: functional, stylish, and spacious.
