Villa on the Shore of Cold Sea in Sweden12 photos
Sälsten — a 300 square meter villa designed by Skälsö Arkitekter in Hernösand, Sweden.
Their wishes for the interior were simple: it should be calm and without using white color. Therefore, the architects turned to a palette including various shades of gray: darker tones on the first floor and lighter ones on the second.
The garage, outdoor shower, and addition to the main house create a contrast with the existing villa through their modern forms.
The addition features a bright space with a panoramic sea view. The structure is made of glass, concrete, and unfinished pine wood that will gradually take on a gray tone and blend harmoniously with the old house over time.
