House on the Beach of Costa Brava
Traveling through the Mediterranean Sea, the Cami de Ronda route connects Spanish villages and beaches of Costa Brava. Along the way, you can see the ES GARBI house by Nook Architects, part of a protected elite residential complex. The building consists of four floors, stands on a cliff and descends to the sea step by step with its own dock.
The facade facing the sea features large windows that provide full access to natural light, minimizing the difference between indoor and outdoor spaces, making the terrace an extension of the living room. The ventilation system, like the heating, is very simple and consists of ceiling fans, additional windows, and skylights. On the exterior side, blinds and overhangs scatter sunlight to maintain a comfortable temperature even in summer.
Many original elements such as the tile floor and wooden beams have been restored to preserve the traditional appearance of the structure, blending harmoniously with modern wooden, concrete, steel, and ceramic components. Custom-designed furniture plays an important role in this project, highlighting the functional character of each room. Whether dividing space or distributing natural light, furniture actively shapes various interior zones.
After restoration and renovation, the building retains its traditional Mediterranean origins while acquiring a vibrant, contemporary identity. Thanks to its excellent location, natural lighting, and picturesque sea views, the house has become a true highlight of elite housing.
