Villa in Salerno34 photos
Studio 74ram designed a villa in Salerno, Italy, for a recently married couple with a child and two dogs, adapting the previously existing residence to meet the new needs of this young family.
In the spacious living room with columns clad in travertine, the dining table with a metal base and a broccoli wood countertop dominates. The sunken lounge area groups around the fireplace and can be transformed into a home cinema when needed thanks to a screen that lowers from wooden ceiling elements.
A wide opening leads into the kitchen and dining area, which can be separated from the main living room.
Here, a large central island includes a food preparation zone made from ceramic granite, a dining table made of ash and oak, as well as a stone piasentina base fireplace with a large sculptural extractor above it. The TV area is warmed by an oak ceiling.
The staircase with metal elements leads to the upper floor into the sleeping zones, where existing valuable materials were restored—such as parquet made of acacia wood, veneer doors, and travertine finishes in bathrooms.
The overall design is complemented by furniture and lighting fixtures carefully selected not only among the best brands but also found at flea markets, bazaars, and art galleries. Reminiscent of travels, they help make rooms not only modern and stylish but also very warm and cozy.
