Architect's House in Brazil
Architect Solange Calio, heading the studio Solange Cálio Arquitetos, chose a plot in a small condominium in San José do Rio Preto, Brazil, to build a house for her family, which includes herself, her husband, and two children.
Thanks to the large gaps between building volumes, its interior and exterior are in a harmonious union, and the rooms are filled with natural light.
The 785 square meter residence features three bedrooms. Two of them are designated for the children and are more hidden from view. The parents' bedroom is located near the balcony, which creates a feeling of security and warmth.
Cumaru wood flooring runs throughout the house from the entrance to the veranda with a pool located on it. Only in the wet area of the kitchen, in front of the work area, is a smooth insert made.
