House in Brazil
Architectural bureau Debaixo do Bloco restored this stunning mansion, which was built in 1988 by the talented woodworker Jose Zanine Caldas. The 3800 square meter residence is located in Brasilia, Brazil.
The floor was kept with the original green tiles, the wood color was restored and returned to natural, removing previous layers of coating. Brick walls are combined with wooden elements — ceiling, beams, window frames and staircase. Furniture was selected in a modern style, with elements of wood and stone, completing the interior with timeless classicism in the form of works by Oscar Niemeyer (Oscar Niemeyer) and Lina Bo Bardi (Lina Bo Bardi). Paintings by artist Pedro Ivo bring vibrant colors.
