Interior for Art Lovers in the USA
Designer Lucas Machnik created a very unusual interior for a house on the coast in Los Angeles. He named it "The American Dream House." What does the designer mean by the American Dream? Firstly, it is simplicity. But not in the sense of primitivism, but in an refined way where the simplest details are almost on par with works of art. The strictness and directness of lines in interior items convey that people living here value something greater than external appearance. Namely, they value art. More precisely, art from the early 20th century. Almost every corner of the house contains allusions to expressionism, impressionism, cubism, and works by Salvador Dalí. Subtle hints and reproductions of visual arts from the previous century fill the entire space. The dominant colors are graphite and milk, with small accents of gold or wood. And this too has its own artistic appeal. For example, a replica by Dalí in gray color seems like a new artwork. In this regard, the house is very poetic. It breathes art, both modern and its world heritage. An interior for those who want to connect with high culture in their own way.
