Two-Story Apartment in Paris
Architectural studio SABO Project presented the Sacha apartments with a total area of 154 square meters in Paris, France. The two-story apartment is designed for a young family with a child. Architects removed outdated finishes and layouts, making the spaces more suitable and safe for new owners.
The idea of using a modest material like birch plywood appealed to diligent and goal-oriented clients who rejected ostentatious luxury in design.
Closed cabinets are sometimes replaced with open shelves displaying small works of art, decorations, and books. In the living room, shelf placement can change thanks to numerous holes in the wall. Bright details bring a splash of color to the monochrome and restrained interior, along with dining chairs in muted green and a pendant light hanging from the ceiling.
Opposite the living room, a kitchen is designed that can be separated by a sliding wooden door with an arched opening for the cat. A small sleeping area for the pet is even provided in one of the kitchen cabinets, also designed with an arch.
The bedrooms are located on the lower floor of the apartment, and access to them is provided via a cylindrical staircase, closed with thin plywood slats and equipped with removable gates for child safety.
