Apartment in a Building from the Early 20th Century in Rome
An apartment designed by MGK Architects studio and located in the heart of the vibrant Monteverde district in Rome, in a building from the early 20th century, is distinguished by the richness of sculptural functional forms.
The entire building is crafted with simplicity, living in contrasts, without fear of coincidence.
One can appreciate both the classical mood created by wooden elements and the use of cobalt blue color on the walls of the common area; additionally, one must note the industrial style touch of such regionally typical materials as resin, metal, brick, and the use of patterned ceramic tiles in an Arabic style.
Furthermore, contrasting colors bring life to new and interesting balances, similar to a living effect that emerges between the warmth of hand-planed hazel wood parquet and the coolness of blue walls, as well as between metallic surfaces and decorative tiles.
The project is completed with Vitra furniture, Finn Juhl sofa, and elements of industrial style from Oh My Lab.
