Apartment with area of 53 square meters in Paris19 photos

Apartment with area of 53 square meters, designed by architectural studio Kid A, is located in the residential area of Belleville in Paris. The residence windows face an inner garden of an eight-story building constructed in the 1980s, yet its charm is minimized due to lack of natural lighting caused by the height of surrounding buildings.

The project was made possible through minimalistic white wall finishes and light oak flooring. The interior is given a distinctive touch by an abstract geometric composition in the living room made of fifteen white doors, hiding wardrobes, and a passage leading to private areas including the bathroom and bedroom.

The kitchen zone in the living room is highlighted by a black granite worktop that creates a barrier separating the kitchen from the common space.

On the opposite side, irregular white shelf lines on a white wall background look like floating shelves in the air. Architects allowed the owner's books, hats, and paintings to animate the wall.
