Mansard in a Medieval Italian City
Leaving behind such timeless signs as uneven stone masonry, wooden ceiling floors, and fragments of paved floors, the project's authors did not give up the conveniences of modern life, reinterpreting traditional materials and spaces.
The interior is notable for its details. A working office and a wardrobe in the bedroom, both closing with white panels made of painted boards, shower cabins installed directly in rooms, decorated paneling with intricate designs placed asymmetrically throughout the interior, vintage items, and an open method of fixing the reinforcement—this entire collage of seemingly random yet meticulously planned elements creates the aura of a home living its own unique life for many centuries.
