New Old House
Transforming an old house is always a challenge, but an even greater challenge arises when the old house has not yet been built. This is exactly what designer Cristina Krestin faced. Clients ordered the construction of a house in 18th-century style, but Cristina was tasked with creating a new interior in the spirit of a farmhouse. The designer chose colors closely resembling nature: shades of natural wood, blue, gray; sage and terracotta for color accents. Interestingly, some items here can indeed be mistaken for antique: solid wooden sliding doors, a chair in the style of an office from past centuries, and a sink reminiscent of earlier times. This project is an excellent example of how any interior can be beautifully styled from scratch!
