Transforming Commercial Space into Loft Apartment

Project studio Egue y Seta transformed a commercial space into a loft apartment in the Spanish city of Terrassa. The design concept is built around the presence of an internal garden, featuring not standard small flowers and plants, but real trees and shrubs native to the region. From any point in the loft, the view always falls on a living corner that best decorates the space in an industrial style. Brick walls, concrete floors, and steel structures blend with a large number of elements made from natural wood. Open space is represented by several zones for relaxation, dining, and sleeping that flow smoothly into one another. The main bathroom stands out with two washbasins and two toilets, with a large shower cabin centrally located between them. Everything together evokes a tropical shower in a bungalow on an island and does not at all associate with a city apartment.
