Scandinavian Style in a Different Reading22 photos
The modest snow-white finishing of this apartment in Gothenburg, Sweden is a tribute to Scandinavian style, but the furniture and accessories have gone far from minimalist 'Scandinavian' ideals. Using light walls, floors, and ceilings as a base, the designers of the project decided to play on contrast by adding crystal, metal-effect items, and heavy candle holders to the interior. Behind the modest facade of the house where this apartment is located, lie real royal apartments. The theme of luxury is especially vividly expressed in the bathroom with gold legs, a golden sink, a wardrobe with a crystal chandelier, and a fur cover on the bed. This interior differs greatly from traditional 'Scandinavian' style in its luxury. An interesting project that combines seemingly incompatible elements.
