Extendable Bed – Suitable for Everyone
Photo 1 — Extendable Bed PRINZ. You can continue listing the advantages of extendable beds, but it's also worth noting their less attractive side. The main drawback is that the extendable parts and mechanisms are usually significantly weaker than the main unit's body. Therefore, excessive or improperly directed load can damage them. But this issue is resolved by choosing the highest quality extendable bed and treating it with care.
Extendable beds can be categorized based on two criteria: size of the sleeping area; number of extendable parts.

The main advantage of an extendable bed is the flat and continuous sleeping area with an orthopedic mattress. This means that its placement requires a structure of the appropriate size. Therefore, the majority of extendable beds come with a single-person extendable section, while double beds are in minority. There can be one or two extendable parts, and together with the main bed, up to three sleeping areas.
The extendable sleeping area for one person can be hidden in a special cabinet, dresser, or sofa. Such a transformer can find application anywhere: in the bedroom, children's room, living room, but not in a marital bedroom. For that purpose, there is a special offer – a bed hidden in a platform.

Platform Extendable Bed
A platform extendable bed is a universal option for an extendable bed. If there is just one room, sleeping under the ceiling is not appealing (so an attic bed is out of question), a wardrobe has already been purchased (thus a wardrobe bed is not an option), there is no desire to sacrifice space in the living room or healthy sleep, and there is a wish to experiment, then it's safe to order or even make a platform bed with an extendable bed of any desired size.
You can create a platform larger than needed for the sleeping area, with drawers of various sizes. One of them will hide the bed, while smaller ones can be used for storing items. Above the platform, you can set up a guest zone, office, wardrobe, or organize space in any other way. An extendable platform bed is an excellent choice for a young family.

Extendable Beds for Two Children
If you need furniture in a small children's room, it's worth considering extendable beds as an option. For two children, a regular children's sofa bed with an extendable sleeping area is suitable. Fortunately, there are many variations of such beds with a main and extendable part. These include the lower tier that can extend like a drawer from a dresser or represent a separate piece of furniture on wheels, simply sliding under the main bed. The main advantage of this furniture is its compactness but at the same time, unlike bunk beds, it's not tall.

Extendable Children's Bed for Three
If there are three children in the family, parents have to be more creative in designing the children's room and selecting furniture for it. But again, extendable beds come to the rescue. A children's room doesn't necessarily have to consist of three separate beds: one piece of furniture is enough. There are two options for beds designed for three:
- Main bed with two extendable parts;
- Bunk bed-transformer with an additional extendable sleeping area.
Extendable beds are a universal solution for decorating any interior zone.
