How We Designed a Small Mirror Hallway
The space became the apartment's business card
The hallway in this project turned out to be spacious yet cozy, thanks to a thoughtful combination of finishing and furniture. Designer Olga Pisarikova opted for calm base wall and floor tones: they create a neutral background where accents look expressive.
Apartment layout according to Olga Pisarikova's projectA wardrobe with solid mirror doors became the main element of the storage system. It easily accommodates outerwear, shoes and accessories while visually dissolving into the space. Additional storage solutions are hidden in niches and behind smooth facades: they don't draw attention but provide functionality needed for the hallway.
Design by Olga PisarikovaSpecial atmosphere is created by the console area with a mirror: the console is minimalist in style but looks strikingly due to built-in lighting. A large mirror above it is both functional and visually stretches the room upward. Convenient hooks and open surfaces allow keeping bags and small items within reach.
Design by Olga PisarikovaThere are no random items here: every detail was chosen with the concept in mind. A soft gray armchair adds comfort and makes the hallway suitable for daily use—for example, easy to change shoes or calmly wait for family members. Bright red accents—pillows and small decor elements—liven up the calm color palette.
Design by Olga PisarikovaThis hallway is an example of how minimalism and cozy accents can be combined. A well-thought-out storage system, skillful use of mirrors, soft lighting and carefully chosen details transformed a small space into a stylish and functional area.
