Before and After: Stunning Transformation of a Living Room in a 60 sqm Apartment
Inspiration and great ideas for redesign
The entrance hall is the first thing people see when entering an apartment, and thus it should be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. We show how designers Irina and Alexander Kutenkovs from Kutenkovs Project transformed the entrance hall in a 60 sqm two-bedroom apartment.

The goal of the project was to create a comfortable and unconventional interior while maximizing the use of limited space. To achieve this, the standard layout was modified, and the entrance area was separated from the living room using a wooden slat structure. The decorative panel made of this material continues onto the ceiling, visually raising it.

For the floor, hexagonal tiles were chosen, laid in an attractive geometric pattern. Walls, partially finished with gray ceramic granite, beautifully contrast with turquoise cabinet fronts and walls painted in turquoise.

The entrance hall includes all necessary elements: a console at the entrance, a soft pouf serving as additional seating, and a mirror. The mirror helps visually expand the space and is an essential element in any entrance hall.

There is a large built-in wardrobe for storage, with a section designated for household items. The wardrobe doors in the blinds format harmonize well with the overall concept.

The result of the designers' work is impressive. The entrance hall in such a small apartment was made functional, convenient, and attractive.
