How to Style a Small Apartment: Real Example Shown

Designers from KRUTO DESIGN came up with a stylish and modern interior for a small apartment of 37 square meters. In limited space, it's important that all details harmonize but don't look boring. We share the tricks.

Colorful Kitchen

The combination of soft pink and cool sky blue and turquoise tones is the interior feature and the client's wish. The color palette evokes associations with something fairy-tale and airy — and design techniques are intended to enhance this effect.

The kitchen cabinet was made colorful: the kitchen apron was chosen so that the pink color flows smoothly into the upper cabinets and even the ceiling. Pay attention to this interesting detail — the tiles in the cabinet area and the ceiling are done in similar shades, highlighting the kitchen as a separate color volume.

Accent Wall

Usually, patterned wallpaper is used to highlight a niche or an entire wall. Here, the designers made an accent on the wall between windows by choosing a vibrant fruit and butterfly pattern. The finish also extends to the window sills.

Round Forms

The interior is built on a balance between strict straight lines and round silhouettes. There are many of the latter in the living room: spherical shades, print on the carpet, decorative pink circle behind the TV and a round mirror with shelf made to order. It looks like an airlock.

Arches

In the bedroom decoration, circles were replaced with arches. Many of them are placed in the headboard, creating an interesting geometry and visually expanding the space.

Another arch technique — symmetrical mirrors. They create an interesting visual effect.

Gold Plumbing

Festive mood and luxury — these are the associations that the bathroom interior evokes. Against a background of pleasant pastel tones, gold-plated plumbing stands out especially beautifully.
