Atmospheric Apartment Where Vintage Meets IKEA
High ceilings, large windows, and lots of light — worth moving to Poland for this apartment
This atmospheric apartment is located in the Polish town of Sopot on the Baltic Sea coast. This is how they call a peaceful resort area where most Poles and Swedes buy themselves summer wooden houses with stained glass windows.

The apartment was purchased by a married couple: the wife works as an editor in a travel magazine, and the husband is a director. It was important for them to create a cozy interior for relaxation, emphasize the building's architecture, and maintain that resort atmosphere that floats through the streets of the town. The designers from Colombe Design helped them bring their vision to life.

The apartment is very spacious: a large living room, a home office, a separate kitchen with a dining area, a bedroom, and a combined bathroom. There is plenty of open space, high ceilings, and large windows through which light enters the rooms.
To highlight the spaciousness of the space, a light color palette was chosen — walls were painted in milky tones. The floor was left with light pine planks — the old surface was only sanded and coated with oil.

To prevent the living room from looking too large, it was divided into two parts using a glass arch — this technique added classical notes to the interior, although mostly Scandinavian motifs dominate.
From the living room one can enter a small home office — it was decorated with tropical wallpapers Pierre Frey.

Another unexpected accent awaits us in the kitchen: part of the wall above the marble apron was covered with bright emerald wallpapers Elitis. They remind of fresh air and ocean depths.
By the way, green tones are everywhere — on the headboard in the bedroom and on the upholstery of vintage chairs inherited by the owners.

Storage systems were integrated into the overall design so skillfully that they are not immediately noticeable. For example, in the bedroom, the entire wall behind the headboard is a large cabinet. The color was chosen so skillfully that it almost blends with the paint.
Here, in the bedroom, there is another interesting feature — a small fireplace tiled with ceramic tiles. It adds a special atmosphere to the interior.

Pay attention: vintage items here blend effortlessly with modern ones. For example, chairs from IKEA harmoniously fit into the kitchen interior. Such contrasts add individuality to the space and make it even more interesting — one wants to look at this apartment for hours.
