For students in early grades, it's most important to choose the right workspace and bed. Kids spend a lot of time at lessons, so it's essential that they get quality rest and sleep at night.

Workspace Table

There are many different options for school tables. The tabletops can be adjusted to various angles relative to the child sitting, and the height of such a desk grows with the student: its supports can be raised or lowered depending on the child's height.

This option is both economical and suitable for use by multiple children at once. For example, if there are two children of different ages in the family, it's easy to adjust the desk for each one.

Additional shelves and drawers can be added to the writing desk. Don't forget to buy a hook for a backpack on the side panel of the desk and a footrest.

It's important to choose the right place for the workspace table in the room. Natural daylight from the window should fall on the tabletop from the left if the child is right-handed, and from the right if the child is left-handed.

A desk placed along the window is an excellent solution for doing homework. Add a pair of adjustable lamps to create comfortable conditions in the evening.

Chair

Don't forget to choose a suitable chair, adjustable in height and with an anatomically shaped backrest that supports the natural curve of the spine. Avoid models with armrests — they can harm a child's posture.

Choose a safe material for the bed frame — wood, MDF, veneer, or metal. But most importantly, select an individual mattress for each child. Just like an orthopedic pillow, it's essential for good sleep.

Also, to help with comfortable falling asleep and waking up, you can hang blackout curtains on the windows. Smart alarms that simulate a sunrise with warm light in the morning will help children adjust from vacation to school mode more easily.

Closet

When a child goes to school, their wardrobe significantly increases. There's more sports equipment, school and sport uniforms, and several pairs of shoes. Therefore, a spacious and convenient closet is a necessary item in a child's room. Add side shelves for books, various collections, and other small items.

Whiteboard

If space allows, hang a working whiteboard next to the desk. It can be cork, magnetic, or coated with chalk paint. It's convenient for fixing important dates, hanging notes, or tasks that need to be done by the next school day.
