We've gathered several design projects in one collection where almost all furniture and decor were purchased from the Swedish furniture giant

It is possible to furnish an apartment stylishly and comfortably without choosing interior items from countless design catalogs. One advantage of IKEA is that you can find everything in the stores: from a cable organizer to a complete kitchen cabinet with built-in appliances. Russian designers often use this brand, especially when the project budget is limited.

One-bedroom apartment with a mix of Soviet and IKEA furniture

Designer Maria Mikene managed to preserve the Scandinavian spirit in the interior, keeping the grandmother's 'legacy' in her client's apartment. "I wanted to create a modern and lively interior and incorporate some furniture from my grandmother's collection," the designer explains. "For this, the mid-century style worked perfectly, as Soviet furniture is essentially part of it."

The living room beautifully combines a polished cabinet, vintage buffet, and modern IKEA sofa. The bedroom accommodates the brand's bed and dresser.

Nordic one-bedroom in St. Petersburg

Customers requested designer Natalia Huda to create a subtle and calm interior. The neutral color palette was chosen: gray concrete and accent walls in the color of the northern sea.

Most of the furniture was found at IKEA: kitchen cabinet, shelves, sideboards, textiles. These were chosen in advance and taken into account during the design process. For example, the wardrobe in the bedroom was built with the dimensions of the PAX storage system in mind.

Comfortable interior with a modern blue tone

The client of this project is a student who received the one-bedroom apartment without finishing. The budget was severely limited, so it was necessary to avoid re-planning and find ways to save money. The decision was made to create a vibrant interior in the color-block technique and furnish it with inexpensive items.

"The project features minimalist IKEA furniture: recognizable wardrobes and wardrobes, sofa, desks, as well as lighting and decor. What makes it special? Not just the price, but also how well the items complement each other," comments designer Ekaterina Savchenko from the 'Interior Architecture' studio.

Cozy apartment in Veliky Novgorod

This project was designed by Irina Petrova and Olga Vasileva under budget constraints: 1.5 million rubles for the renovation of a 60 sq. m one-bedroom apartment. The client bought the apartment for herself and her young daughter, so the interior had to be as warm and cozy as possible, not cold and minimalist. The designers opted for affordable finishing, accent textiles, and IKEA furniture.

For the kitchen, a white-facade cabinet was chosen. The hallway was perfectly suited for a coat rack and dresser. The bedroom had space for a desk. All the listed furniture was from IKEA. It turned out to be bright, cozy, convenient, and relatively budget-friendly.

Bright studio in Kotelniki

The small studio was zoned using wooden panel partitions made of timber. This allowed for eliminating the feeling of too open space and making it more intimate. At the same time, these partitions do not deprive the interior of air.

Only a few items in this apartment were custom-made according to the designer's sketches. The majority of furniture was purchased at IKEA. "It's convenient that you can make a list and buy everything in one go. Also, the items complement each other perfectly, for example, a white dining table and black wooden chairs look stylish and harmonious," the designers from the 'Forma Domа' studio tell.

Small one-bedroom in Almaty

The owners of this apartment are big fans of the Swedish brand, so they even ordered taps from IKEA. However, it was necessary to ship all the purchased furniture from Russia to Kazakhstan. In a small space, it was important to accommodate two bedrooms and a place where the whole family could gather together.

"We found a solution thanks to the balcony, which was insulated and connected to the kitchen after legalizing the re-planning," the designers from 'Malitsky Studio' explain. "This allowed placing not only a spacious cabinet but also arranging a dining area with a sofa. The family can gather for dinner and spend evenings together here."
