Working on a new project, the designer decided to look at door options in the UNION showroom. She was pleasantly surprised, as she discovered many new things she had never even suspected.

In our subconscious, we have already accepted the idea that UNION is the largest manufacturer of interior doors and their supplier from Italy. But it turned out not only that. As a designer, I found many solutions for the workflow process. I won't bore you with lengthy reflections; let me tell you specifically what I saw in this showroom.

Julia Zhirnova — DESIGNER, founder of the interior design studio "Master of Comfort"

The selection of products is impressive. UNION not only manufactures doors but also various interior items such as: dressers, wardrobes, display cases, wall panels, and even dining tables.

But I'll start with doors. In principle, there's no need to be surprised by the popularity of UNION products, as the manufacturer has taken into account almost all requirements of modern consumers: stylish design, understated elegance, and versatility of models.

What does this mean? It's very simple: in any design project, such doors will look appropriate. Let me share a small 'secret': designers don't just randomly emphasize high doorways in rooms. Demand creates supply — we make what customers like.

Such different doors

Seeing the wide range of options in the showroom, I realized that I could use 3.5-meter-high doors. This would be an optimal solution for the project I'm currently working on — I could separate the living room area using tall, ceiling-to-floor, and beautiful doors. Moreover, UNION's doors can even be glass doors with such height due to their very rigid and strong frame. This suggests that you don't need to worry about their longevity.

Aluminum door profiles come in various colors. For me, the revelation was a black profile with a glass panel and black handles. This model adds graphic clarity to the interior. Imagine: a white wall with a white door with crisp outlines. What else could be more of a manifestation of beauty and style?

Another frequent guest in my projects is a hidden door painted to match the wall — an excellent choice for utility rooms like a wardrobe, built-in closet in the hallway, or laundry room. The doors can be made completely invisible: for example, by creating an accent wall using moldings. We install the hidden door, decorate the wall together with the door panel using moldings, without marking the opening, and paint it. It's functional and very beautiful.

I couldn't pass by the glass doors with a StopSol effect without noticing them. Visually, such a door looks like a mirror. But when the light inside the room is turned on behind it, the glass becomes semi-transparent. A mesmerizing impression.

Especially stunning is a glass wardrobe or even a display case made from such glass — an original and beautiful way to zone the space. I will definitely use such a solution in one of my projects!

Among the doors displayed in the showroom, I liked models with illuminated door frames — it feels like the door is floating. I think these can be recommended to customers. A 2.6-meter-high door won't look bulky even in a small room; instead, it will look elegant and mysteriously beautiful.

I also want to mention the door panel made of frosted glass decorated with horizontal aluminum strips. When light passes through such a door, it creates a sense of depth, airiness, and at the same time, graphic clarity. These doors will look perfect with furniture containing metal elements. And very stylishly. Indeed, using such models requires future homeowners to be meticulous about cleaning — you'll have to frequently wipe off dust from these strips.

For a designer, every detail in the interior matters. This includes door handles too. They should beautifully complete the overall look, not just be a faceless accessory. There are no problems with choosing door handles in UNION — they can be made not only of metal but also contain inserts from the same material as the door panel: stone, wood, or glass.

New trend — unified style

Before visitors of the UNION showroom, there is a very harmonious exhibition that, by the way, significantly simplifies the choice. It subtly suggests: do you like doors 'from stone'? Then pay attention to the suspended dresser in combination with wall panels made of the same material. Indeed, similar texture combinations — aluminum, veneer, or painted glass — in different interior elements make the design complete.

I immediately noticed a suspended glass and aluminum display case with backlighting. This is exactly the case where something is both practical and stylish. The display case doesn't look bulky; on the contrary, its lack of legs makes it seem light, and transparent shelves with backlighting create a sense of gentle intimacy around it. Imagine how beautifully such a display case would look when combined with glass doors of the same shade.

Another advantage is that the display case is modular. It can be mounted in any direction — vertically or horizontally.

It's amazing but even TV sets made up of multiple elements and occupying a significant amount of wall space look compact and light. The secret is the same — glass, thin aluminum, and backlighting. I want to highlight models with tinted mirrors, which add a sense of mystery to the interior.

In the showroom, you can also purchase shelves with backlighting. This item will never be a luxury in the house.

As for organizing a wardrobe in the UNION showroom, there's real freedom! There are stylish sliding and hinged doors, as well as various modular storage system options. How many shelves and sections you need — only you decide. If approached thoughtfully, even in a small area, you can set up a comfortable wardrobe that contains everything you and your family need.

In conclusion

I could go on talking about my impressions from the showroom for a long time. But as they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times. The selection and originality of the products presented in the showroom will impress even designers who have been working on interior design for years. And people who are not into design but want to live in a beautiful and stylish environment — even more.
