How We Improved the Layout of a 2-Room Apartment for a Family with a Child
In this apartment, a family with a child lives. The original layout didn't suit them, so the team at El Trento Design & Interior decided to consult with designers. They started by redesigning the entrance hall and then adjusted the living spaces. Take a look at how it was done.

Separated the Kitchen from the Corridor and Expanded It
The initial layout planned for the kitchen to be in the corridor, so they decided to separate it using partitions. To create a living room area, the space was slightly expanded. Despite the lack of windows, natural light enters from the bedroom through a glass partition.

Adjusted the Geometry of the Bedroom
When increasing the size of the kitchen-living room, part of the bedroom had to be sacrificed. Therefore, the space was slightly adjusted by reducing the size of the children's room. The bedroom became almost a perfect square.
Increased the Children's Room Space
The children's room became the largest: there was space for a play area and a study zone, as well as a large bunk bed.
Merged the Bathroom
Because the children's room had to be enlarged, the bathroom area was significantly reduced. It had to be merged — not the best solution for a family, but it allowed for placing a full bathtub and washing machine.
Made a Closet in the Entrance Hall
A portion of the entrance hall was dedicated to a closed closet. This is where all outerwear is stored.
