Suspended Glass Floor with Mirror Fragments Inside
Thanks to fruitful collaborative work between Gisele Taranto Architecture and LZ Studio, the famous design laboratory LAB LZ by GT was created.
As a result of this partnership, the world has seen many creative developments in interior design and architecture, such as the suspended glass floor we are presenting to you today. Broken mirror fragments are randomly piled on top of an existing rough floor at varying heights, and are partially covered with another layer of coating, as described by the designers themselves. Glass and mirror were chosen not by chance but to emphasize the partially filled air space between two coating layers, with the upper one being completely transparent. This interesting flooring option is a compelling choice for trendy public spaces and residential areas, offering a great alternative to traditional wooden flooring. Among its advantages, developers highlight the natural and unobtrusive lighting of the room, as well as the floor's ability to retain heat and remain warm regardless of the slab temperature. Additionally, the suspended glass floor enhances ceiling height, making the room feel deeper and more airy. Take a look for yourself!
